Dear Parents and Guardians:

Greetings from the Principal’s desk.  I am Eugene Spells and I would like to welcome all of our students back for the upcoming school year. Since the end of last school year a number of changes have taken place in the Harrisburg School District.  I would like to introduce myself as the building Principal of Scott Elementary School.

I would encourage all parents to begin preparing your children for the upcoming school year by sharing the importance of school and coming to school ready to learn. In preparation for this school year, be sure to read to/with your child for a few minutes each day.  This will help to improve their ability and enjoyment of reading.  It is also important for our students to get a good night’s rest, as it helps students to be more focused during the school day.

As the summer winds down and you continue to prepare your children for the upcoming school year, the Principal, Teachers, and Support Staff at Scott School have all been working hard to prepare for your children this school year.  We are looking forward to an exciting and productive school year!
